AL THURAYA CAMP The camp has been set up and is run by a Bedouin family from Wadi Rum. Together with his family, Abdullah Alblwi has made his dream come true. He now runs a small camp " Bedouin style" tucked away beneath the towering red sandstone walls close to the red sand dunes. The camp is situated within the National Park of Wadi Rum and can be reached by foot, camel or jeep from Wadi Rum village. As the camp is built in a shaded area to protect it from the heat of the day You will need to walk a little to find excellent spots for sunset and sunrise. |
TENTS The camp consists of several large goat hair bedouin tents. One of the tents is used as restaurant with comfortable sitting. Other tents are sleeping tents equipped with mattress and blankets. There is also a sitting area close to the campfire where you can look at the moon and the stars. There is also a shower and toilet area however we advise people to be careful with the use of water in this dry desert area. There is no electricity or mobile connection in the camp so that you can enjoy the tranquillity in this beautiful area. |
